MediaTek or MTK USB drivers are used for connecting an MTK CPU phone to a PC, without it, one will not be able to connect a phone to a PC for flashing. In this guide, I will explain how to install Mediatek MTK VCOM drivers on a Windows PC.

This method of installing MTK VCOM drivers on windows works on Windows 7, 8, or 10 but in a case where this method doesn't work on your window 8/10, here's an alternative method for windows 8/10 users.

Follow the procedures below to install MediaTek MTK drivers manually or watch the below video.
- Extract the file you downloaded in the requirement section.
- Click the start button and click on my computer or computer
- Click System Properties or Properties on some windowss
- Click Device Manager
- Click Action on the Menu bar and click Add legacy hardware
- Click Next on the Add Hardware Wizard
- Click Install the hardware that I manually select from a list, and click Next
- Click Next
- Click Have Disk
- Click browse
- Locate the driver you extract, mine is extracted on desktop. You will see the driver is of two types, there is a 32bit and 64 bit version. The one with Win764 is for 64bit. Click Open once you located the driver.
- Click Ok
- Click Next
- Click Next
- Click on Install this driver software anyway once it pops up.
- Click Finish
- Installation Successful
